1996 Hoover Power Drive Supreme vacuum U6317-930

This vacuum belonged to my grandma, but she no longer needed it because she moved where they clean for her! This replaced a blue Eureka Self-Propelled which I would love to have had but she threw it out before I could get it. This thing propells way too fast for me!

  3. @drew2008player Hey buddy…just keep lookin. This particular machine was my grandma’s, but my Dimention II and the last 4 Elites I’ve had I just came across in the trash. The very first Elite had a destroyed motor and wasn’t salvageable, and I sold 2 over the past few years. They’re dying off slowly but surely, but I’m sure there’s still plenty of them out there. You’ll get one when you least expect it. Try looking in thrift stores or garage sales, I’ve seen them in these places.

  4. @Vacmasterthegreat Yes. In fact, there are several clues to this…the dual handle releases and the same motor/transmission set-up, to name a couple.

  5. @fgbags. I figured that out when I compared a power drive and concept at a lady’s house my mom cleaned and figured they bought the concept and then upgraded some years later to the model that replaced their current 1. the guy was a Hoover finatic.

  6. @Vacmasterthegreat Those 2 Kenmore uprights I have are also pretty much like that of the concept. Same 7.2 amp motor, same dual headlight harness, etc.

  7. Hi, I have the Hoover Power Drive Supreme, Self Propel, model # U6323-930. I can’t remember the exact year that I bought, but it runs great. I love it. I wanted to get a second vac for the second floor, but don’t know if they are still made or where to buy them. Any suggestions?

  8. Lol. This brings back memories. Cause I SHATTERED the fan of this vacuum. It was my grandmas. I have no Idea what I vacuumed up. But I jumped when the fan broke! I was like Woah…and then just replaced it. I really want it back! 🙁
