  1. well thats a matter of opinion i guess. I’ve used them. The sebo is very good quality has more suction and has the best power nozzle on the market. So tell me how is the miele better?

  2. durability and ease of repair the power head is better than miele, but for removing deep down dirt and PET HAIR especially the sebo comes up short compared to my miele. I had that same vac last summer and sold it. It needs cloth style bags instead of paper. All around I have found the Lindhaus power head to be best. But thats just my opinion

  3. When it comes to the overall fit and finish of canister vacuums, Miele wins hands down when compared to SEBO, IMHO.

Miele is a sealed HEPA machine. The SEBO is not sealed, and is simply called ‘S-Class 99.9%’. Miele meets the requirement of 99.99% at 0.3 microns according to EN1822..

The offset hose connection on SEBO canisters makes it follow around awkwardly, and the canister itself is quite bulky when compared to the Miele.

  4. Also, the SEBO ET-1 powerhead is a significant step backwards from the original 350e.

When you pair a Miele canister with a SEB236 powerhead, it can hold its own when compared to anything currently on the market.

However, the SEBO GH1, X4, X5 are still the best upright vacuums on the market, IMHO.

  5. The SEBO hose also lacks a switch to turn off the powerhead, as well.

If users forget to turn it off the powerhead (on the PH itself) before taking the hose or wand off, the contacts will eventually burn due to the arcing caused by pulling them apart.

SEBO must be aware of this issue as they incorporated a removable cable and contact assembly on the hose handle on the C2 and C3. However, the wand contacts aren’t replaceable – you have to buy a whole new wand…

  6. well, there is an on/off switch on the powerhead itself, and most user will take the hose or wand off in the upright position, in which case, the powerhead automatically shuts off.

the point is, how many user will take the hose/wand off when the powerhead is still on?

  7. I have idea ‘how many users’ do this, but you will be surprised with how many who do…

To many, vacuuming is not something that they put a lot of conscious thought into. If they see something in the corner of their eye that needs to be sucked up while their using the powerhead, all to frequently off comes the hose handle…

BTW, the hose handle in this video was taken out of the wand while the powerhead was still running at 1:18…

  8. It may not have a switch on the handle for the power nozzle but it has one on the power nozzle and the power nozzle also shuts off in the upright position. I’ve worked with these for years and never had one come back for warranty repair.

  9. The more modern version can be found on the K series Vulcano and Premium. No excess cables, everything is embedded. Still, despite the power head option I still prefer suction only floor heads on cylinders. Whilst the C series may be better than Miele, they are old machines and need replacing as current Miele range lighter. Even my old S571 weighs less than a C series. An interesting video though!

My main upright is a Sebo Felix. Parents have a 15 year old X1 Automatic.

  10. sebo kept telling me that they were going to put videos like this one their website – i’m just glad to finally find this!

  11. Miele and Sebo are the two best vacuum brands in the world, equal in every aspect, your title is biased. I respect and love both vacuum brands for their German quality engineering.

  12. I haven’t actually used a sebo, but I do find it hard to believe that something as big and clunky as that is better than any miele.

  13. So is this basically the best vacuum ever? It has the highest airflow rating and supposedly the best powerhead.
