I know there is the Bissell Flip it, Dirt Devil Vac n Mop and Hoover Floor Mate, but is there a site where I can compare all 3 and see which one is the best?

i am particular in this area. i sell rainbow cleaning systems. i am not trying to advertise but i would have to say the rainbow does a great job on all of my types of flooring and it is wet/dry.
a previous answer states "not enough suction" what you actually need is air-flow for a vacuum to work properly. the rainbow uses water to filter the dirt and pollutants. by using water it will never get a clogged filter and will never lose air-flow! very important. you can look at the rainbow at http://www.rainbowsystem.com. i hope this helps you and will not sound to much like an add. you can also e-mail me at gooseinarmy@yahoo.com for more info.
on my hardwood floors (and vinyl floors)–i use my dyson to pick up dust and dirt … then i use a combination of water and vinegar to mop. nothing, imo, cleans like water and vinegar. it leaves a nice shine and no residue.
if you have a hard wood floor you are not supossed to clean it with water. I have a mop that has a terry cover and a spray cleaner (non wax, non-water) made for hard wood floors. I use a plain dust broom to get the dirt up!
I tried the Floor Mate, garbage…it didn’t do a good job of cleaning (terrible suction) and it leaked water. I bought a scooba…very happy with it. Does a great job on the floors and you can use vinegar and water instead of the clorox cleaner on your wood floors. The only drawback is you have to empty and then refill after 45 mins. Other than that its the greatest invention for a busy Mom like me!
I have the Hoover Floor Mate. DO NOT buy this!
All it does is "pee" the water out, and smear the dirt around.
Personally I am a fan of hands and knees with a mixture of light dawn dish soap and warm water.
I don’t think, if your floor is wood it is wise to actually get it wet.
Regular hardwood floor cleaner I suppose would be the best.
Go into a search engine, like Yahoo or Google. Type in, one at a time, the name of the product, like Bissell Flip It. Seeing they are name brand items, you should find links for the companies websites. Hope this helps!
