This hand vac easily beats out an old 4.8V dustbuster hand vac. The battery life and suction power is more than ample to clean up everyday spills and messes. With 2 little kids, it makes clean up after meal time a breeze. I’m very happy with the product.
UPDATE:
My wife and I have been using this same hand vac for 2-2.5 years now on a daily basis. It now has 3 kids and a dog to clean up after, and it is still performing as it did on day one. Highly recommended.

This is a great little hand vac.I’m a stay at home dad with a toddler running around ask day with goldfish and cheerios in the living room.this vac not only picks up the large pieces off the foor, but the crushed up grinded in slobbered on mess as well. The only thing holding me back from giving it a5 star review is the charging base, and the built in crevice tool. First off the base when attached to the wall seems up side down. You feel like its just barely hanging on waiting to slam on the floor at first little vibration, but mine is mounted right beside the dryer and hasn’t budged yet. It feels like it should be the other way and it would sit better, but I really can’t complain, it haven’t fallen yet. The built in crevice tool works great, its just a little awkward to get in place. It needs to be sporting loaded so that when you press the button it pops up. As is when you slide the…switch I guess, it didn’t seem to move.you have to stock your finger in the hole and pull it up and over to get it in place.then slide it back like your cocking a gun. All in all these turn out to either non issues, or not really big issues at all. The vac has plenty of power as long a you clean the filter and canister, and you don’t expect a shop vac. The battery life is great, I’ve never had it die on me. I charge it every few days and use it every day in between all day long here and there. Oh and its not super loud.

Short and sweet, this is the best vacuum I have ever used. This vacuum sucks so hard (thats a good thing), you can actually feel it pulling the carpet up as it goes.
The vibragroomer II brushroll vibrates every speck of dirt out of the carpet. All the moving parts are metal and steel with sealed bearings. This thing is made for some maid in a motel to vacuum 8 hours a day. It should last you pretty much forever. The bag costs $1 and can hold months worth of stuff. A new belt costs $1 and should last 6 months to a year. With a 50′ power cord, you can do the whole house at once.
Ive owned expensive, bagless, dual V, pretty to look at, vacuum’s that are very colorfull and exciting in presentation, but just dont last. They are all plastic with weak motors, and fall apart and cower in fear at the sight of my dog, cat and wife hair. This vacuum has a commercial motor, and is designed to easily dissaseble in seconds for easy cleaning (i pull out brushroll and remove hair every few uses). When parts do wear out, they are readily available. I expect to buy a new $35 brushroll and a new $20 fan every 3-5 years. Other then that, this machine will last 20 years.

Today, I placed another Review for ‘PicnicWorld’ the vendor who shipped this Commercial Sanitaire upright.
* Our Rating is based on the fact that this particular model from Sanitaire, is for CARPET Floors Only! It doesn’t perform very well on HARD WOOD FLOORS or on TILE Flooring. And I would say that’s the ONLY reason it received only 4-Stars from us. But, I also have to say that it performs as well as our Oreck XL, except that unlike the Oreck, it doesn’t clean Wood or tile flooring. It’s Excellent on Carpet!
However, we have ‘mixed Media’, when it comes to flooring, with carpet, tile, marble & wood flooring!
* One other thing to note, which is a plus is that this particular model,
the SC888G Commercial, is for People that have Allergies and it uses a
very IMPRESSIVE thick Allergy special bag(s).
* I agree mostly with the Manufactures Description & the other Reviewers.
* It did arrive well-packed by the vendor & it was a snap to put together,
with very good visual instructions.
* We also have an ‘in-house’ Policy, to ALWAYS keep all packing for all of the merchandise that is ordered on-line, for a Minimum of 6-months, just in case something goes wrong.
* For Carpet Flooring – we Highly Recommend this Sanitaire Commercial Upright!
