so I got bored one day and designed my own vacuum. I had a bunch of Electrolux vacuums for parts and made one. For this I used a light indicator from an ap280, a motor from a lux classic, a central vacuum hose, a power nozzle from a system 90, and the trim off a 2100. And this is what I came up with.
I like it, specially its quiet. Longer hose that was nice.
wow! I lke the lonfg hose too and the sound a very powerful clean team!
Did the same thing with an old Kenmore box. It”s the best way to use a central hose. To me, a 30 ft. central hose is two decent canister hoses waiting to happen.

how much suction do you loose using a hos that long? i was wanting to do that with my filter queen and viking 739
That’s the beauty of Electrolux can’s. So universal and simple. In general, little was changed with the basic power nozzle setup from the 60’s to the early 90’s.
