The Dirt Devil Vision Canister is a lightweight compact vacuum cleaner. The vacuum has variable speed control, an automatic recoiling power cord and a power brush. It comes with three on-board attachments including a upholstery, crevice, and brush tools. The attachments clip into a tool caddy that is located on the extension wand for easy access while cleaning. The Dirt Devil Vision did not perform well on carpets. It spit a lot of medium sized particles around or just left them on the floor all-together. The vacuum was difficult to maneuver on carpeted flooring because the handle pivots. Performing well on hard surface flooring, the Vision canister was able to suck up our small and medium sized particles without difficulty. However, the clearance of the power nozzle was to low for our large particle cheerios to fit under in order to be sucked into the vacuum. The vacuum wasn’t able to get fine dirt that was against the edge of the wall, but the crevice tool was easy to attach and did a great job of cleaning up the dirt that the vacuum couldn’t get. Because the Dirt Devil Vision is compact and light, it was easy to use on stairs. The attachments worked well on furnishings and the adjustable speed made it easy to clean window treatments. This vacuum has a HEPA filter, however,the filtration system isn’t sealed allowing particles to escape into the air.
