DC65 Multi Floor Cleans better than any other vacuum across carpets and hard floors* Manufacturer’s Description DC65 is the most powerful upright vacuum on a ball, with twice the suction of any other vacuum*. It uses Radial Root Cyclone technology and a reconfigured brush bar to remove more dirt and dust from the home. The redesign of the brush bar means that the bristles have been made shorter and stiffer allowing deeper carpet penetration to remove more dirt, while maintaining superior performance on hard floors. The DC65 cleans better than any other vacuum across carpets and hard floors**. It achieves this through the combination of Radial Root Cyclone technology and a self adjusting cleaner head which seals in suction across carpets and hard floors. The latest Ball technology allows easy steering into difficult places. More key technologies are housed inside the ball, reducing components on the outside of the machine. Removing clutter from around the ball makes it even easie
A Pet Lover Makes An Investment In Quality Of Life – Tired Of FUR EVERYWHERE,
The down side to the cordless is that it is not optimal for lots of carpet being not as high powered as a corded vac. It can do it but it doesnt like it and it takes longer than.. well this new model. Living with 3 pets, 2 dogs, 1 cat, that think its thier sole purpose in life to grow and spew hair, we get a lot of pet hair on and in EVERYTHING.
After months of using a standard electrolux canister vacuum that takes a ton of effort and doesnot care much for carpet, I’ decided to break down and get a great big Dyson and see how the Other Half lives.
Dyson is a work of art as a machine. The attachments are easy to attach and use. The vacuum has extreme suction power . It easily maneuvers the room and obstacles like furniture and protrusions of cabinetry.
The DC65 was able to clean all the floors in the house with just one pass instead of having to go over and over each spot again.
If you hate vacuuming this thing will make you like it. It’s so satisfying, watching all that hair being sucked up into the clear, cyclonic canister. So gratifying, in fact, its almost addictive. I sucked all the hair off our wood floors (works great there) and as if that wasn’t enough, I even used the hose attachment to clean the fans and suck the cobwebs from the upper corners of the house.
I was torn between getting this DC65 or the more expensive Animal model. Turns out this is exactly the same as the more expensive models but does not contain the pet attachments.
This vacuum is a significant upgrade to the the DC41 line up. The 41’s were plagued with problems but the 65’s seemed to have addressed the problems according to what I have seen.
My only complaint and reason for giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is heavier than I would have liked, and also I find that the hose isn’t quite long and stretchy enough. As well, although there is a place for the two attachments it comes with, they don’t stay on and I have to store them somewhere else. But overall, the good outweighs the bad.
Everything can be taken apart and cleaned without a screwdriver or other tools. The brush head cover is easy to remove to allow access to the roller brush to remove hair and threadlike debris, unlike other vacuum cleaner where cleaning it was chore in itself.
The Dyson is definitely a worthy investment if you love your pets but hate their hair and fur everywhere!
Downside is the obvious: Most don’t have a spare $500 laying around to get a Dyson! But it truly is one of those things that is an investment in your quality of life.
Quick Rundown:
Pros:
– Easy to assemble
– Quieter than any other vacuum upright I’ve ever used – unexpected.
– The extension reaches to the top of my 14 stairs and is easy to pull out.
– Great suction. Removed much debris from my carpet, even though I had just used my other vacuum the day before.
– Love the easy-empty cannister, which is so much better than the mess and mystery of using a bag. Dont empty inside if you are an allergy sufferer.
– Love the carrying handle location – a surprise that makes it very easy to carry.
– Very easy to glide back and forth – especially given it’s hefty weight.
– Smooth transition between carpet and wood and tile floors
-35′ Cord
– Washable filters to keep the air fresh coming out of vac
Cons:
-Yup you know it. Price.
-Tad Heavy.
-Ball a little hard to control on hard wood and tile. slides. Not a deal breaker
