This was my near-mint condition Electrolux 330 Automatic from 1973 that I sold a while back. It was a short lived model and ran from 1973-75 and was replaced by the 345. It featured an Automatic floortool that retracted its brushes when cleaning carpets and released them automatically when vacuuming hardfloors. It would also switch itself off if it became blocked or the bag got too full and the orange light would come on. The knob at the front of the machine controlled the sensitivity of this. My 330 also has a very rare optional Turbinette floor tool, it was an early style of suction driven power head. In the video I use it with a later style hose from a 302 model as the original weaved hose tends to lose a lot of suction now because of its age.
looks well cared for. check out OIL SPILL ELIMINATOR on You Tube
man you guys need to get a life…..lol
sod off twat no one asked you
song?
whats outomatic? about it?
The floor head had brushes that automatic retracted when you went from hardfloors to carpets
why does the light come on when its off instead of on??
its a mains light that shows that theres power reaching it from the plug, I think it also doubles up as a bag warning light. When the bags full, the vacuum switches itself off and the light comes on
yeah, it does – it lights up when the bag is full – my mom had this cleaner. I LOVE ELECTROLUX
o wow boring
piss off then
How long was the 345 in production for?? I don`t collect vacuum cleaners but I`ve got one which is absolutely mint – even with it`s original electrolux bag. I`m hanging on to it as it really is a nicely made machine and may be worth something for antique value one day?!!!
@seventeesweremagic the 345 had a pretty long production run, from 1975-1980 when it was replaced by the 355 and 350 series. They always hold their money and are always popular
I love Electrolux vacuums. My family owns a 2100 (I think from the 90’s) They’re great. I remember how surprised I was when I first experienced how powerful it was compared to our old Panasonic.
what country is this from, its amazing!
@thekingofsobe It’s from England
well, it sucks, maybe, I’m not really sure… since the video proves nothing other than it making some noise and it moving under your power. Silly textured carpet. Ah the 80s… or was that the 50s? Seriously though, quite the motion picture.
@boardthis what the hell?! its purely a video to show the vacuum in action, its aimed at vacuum enthusiasts and collectors who appreciate hearing what it sounds like and the different features it has. Simple as that, if you don’t like it sod off because i’ve got plenty of subscribers that do enjoy my videos.
@U5096 Cranky old wanker… it was a joke.
@boardthis I’m younger than you ya daft prick!
@U5096 Rock on, dude. Rock on.
We had for many years a brown version just like this, i noticed that the dial for how full you want the bag on your one is orange lines representing how full, well ours had numbers instead and i rememeber it saying automatic. Its hose looked like a snake and only had a 750 watt motor.
It was replaced in 1992 with a Hoover Aquamaster.
