Early 90’s Eureka Express Canister, an MOL model I’d guess. These were introduced as direct competition for the Hoover Dimension 1000 canister. The Eureka is smaller and considerably lighter, but almost flimsy feeling. The bags leaked alot of dust too. The best part is the power nozzle, which featured Eureka’s Vibra Groomer III, a 4 brush affair that kinda resembled Hoover’s Quadreflex agitator. You can see how well it grooms the carpet! This was a gift from a dear friend, and one of only two Eureka Canisters in my collection.
nice vac man! too bad the bags leak otherwise it would be a great vac!
It is nice, all it really needs is a better quality paper bag, and a swivel hose that does not kink up.
It really is a nice light cleaner thats very powerful and cleans well.
You can tell by the sound of the nozzle that its doing a great job.
It does do a very good job, the 4-brush agitator also keeps it from hugging the carpeting too much.
now if it just had a better paper bag!
i love the power head on these units. i wonder if i can find one cheep and retro fit the power head to work with a filter queen.
That looks to be in pretty good shape. Nice!
It is a good p/n, cleans very well. I would imagine you could outfit a FQ with one, you’d need an adapter for the neck, thats about it.
ive been trying to find one of those old viking vacuums. they used a power nozzle similar to this but they looked like electroluxes tanks from the 70s and 80s. otherwise the nozzle looked like that only it was orange and cream
No height adjustment. All you can do is let some air through the suction valve on the handle to keep it from digging the plush.
the only other eureka canister in ur collection is the roto matic unless u got more eureka canisters for ur collection
That is correct, I only have the two.
how many eureka uprights r in ur collection
I know the ones that you’re talking about: funnily enough I had one about 17 years ago or so in an older iteration of my vacuum collection and later got rid of it. (In fact, I got rid of a lot of machines that I now wish I’d kept!) Anyway, you might be surprised to know that those old Viking/Husqvarna machines were actually made by Electrolux of Sweden! I wish you luck in your search.
if there are any ppl here who would like to part with any of their canister vacuums let me know. im trying to find one for my brother for xmas.
