Best Canister Vacuum For Hardwood Floors
No more dragging around that tank,
The vac itself is not that heavy, my wife has no problem with this. You need to just make sure you have the straps and belt on correctly.
Now the only issues are the cord – can’t wait for the battery pack version. And you also need to be careful turning in tight areas not to bang something. These aren’t flaws of the machine itself that’s just learning how to use it. With a detached machine that you lug around you’d bang into everything!
This has great power, easy to change bags and plenty of cord – 50 feet! We can get a lot done without pulling the cord out of the socket. Amazingly being right there on your back it is relatively quiet compared to our huge pull alongs. Plenty of attachments – I’ve included the what’s in the box below for convenience.
Overall, we love this thing! We look forward to vacuum day knowing we can easily get it done in less time and effort!
What’s In The Box
1. Hose: Flexible hose for better maneuverability.
2. Intercept Micro Filter Bag (2): Paper filter bag to capture dust.
3. 50′ extension cord: Plug in once and vacuum entire area.
4. Mesh Storage Bag: Conveniently store all the accessory tools.
5. Crevice Tool (17-inch): Perfect for deep cleaning around corners and tight spaces.
6. Claw Nozzle: An all-purpose tool ideal for upholstery or carpets.
7. Soft Dusting Brush: Gently removes dust and allergens off of blinds, lampshades etc.
8. Hard Floor Tool: Dust pick up on hard surfaces, including hardwood floors, linoleum and tiles
9. Turbo Brush: Easily glides on carpet removing dust, allergens and pet hair
10. Telescoping Wand: Adjustable height for maximum comfort.

Powerful & easy to use!,
This is a great quality vac, and the tools are excellent as well, definitely commercial quality. Yet I found doing floors really difficult unless it was the lowest pile carpet or a slick surface. It’s incredibly awkward to try and clean ANY dense pile rug or carpet ,you can only pull the vac towards you, then lift the head to begin again in a new section, rather than moving back and forth. The power of this vac cannot be overstated, it sucked the fringe right off an antique rug before I realized what happened, my fault really…. but it’s something to keep in mind when you’re cleaning more delicate items for yourself or others. I feel that where this vac really shines is in hard to clean areas such as cobwebs around ceilings and rafters, windows (bugs) and around corners, etc. It also does an excellent job on interior cornices as well as garage areas.
The cord is very long and sturdy, which prevents you from having to keep plugging in the machine when you clean larger areas. This is also the first vac I’ve ever used that I didn’t run over or inadvertently unplug while using it (more common with my canister vac). This type of vac really speeds up cleaning and is ideal for smaller spaces where ordinary vacs are too cumbersome to use. I’m docking a star because I feel that it’s a very difficult vac to use on anything but super low pile rugs & carpets (commercial type of indoor/outdoor carpets) and I think this could be easily remedied by simply designing a carpet head that moves more easily than what’s offered. Other than that particular weakness I think it’s a very handy vac to have for residential cleaning as long as there are no deep pile rugs, commercial cleaning should be fine, however. Highly recommended.
