Love this vacuum, it’s extremely powerful and does a wonderful job on carpet without being very noisy either. simple design, simple to use, extra extra long power cord, very bright headlight and a brushroll light much like on the Kirbys. Extra wide wheels make it very manouverable. and it has the “adjust-rite” button on front so you know when it’s set to the right carpet height, neat.

The only Royal that would have been more direct toward Kirby were those models produced from the early 1970s to the mid 1980s that had the removable head. Also, the Extra Equipment Kit gave the Royals extra versatility (the small bag is out for me, I’d use the original bag with the portable handle).
your dog just loves that dirt! he’s always eating it before you start vacuuming!
I’ve used Kirby’s and the host of other brands and this machine is the best by far. I’d trade in all my cleaners for this sure bet of a workhorse! I borrowed this model while my machine was in the shop and my floors looked like new with this upright model. the second best is the classic powerteam, which I own. It has worked like a champ for nearly 20 years of regular use.
better than a dirt devil
i want a kirby royal i think there great vacuums
I have a royal to..the best vacuum in the world in my opinion!I was talking to a guy who owns a vacuum store and he said dysons are shit and are nothing but hype and they DO have 3 filters!!!
Wow what an awesome vacuum! I would love to have one like it!
Neat, but your should show the throw away bag if it mount it 😉
what is the model? thanks
No doubt, the more I’ve used this vacuum the more I like it too
I don’t think they were ever in “direct” competition with each other other than just being in competition against all the other vacuum cleaner companies.
were royal and kirby ever in competition with each other? their machines have always been so similar
I do animal rescue so I needed a good vacuum. Must have tried everything until I found a Royal Commercial vacuum similar to this one without the bells and whistles. Best darn vacuum I have found so far.
