We need a new vacuum. What have you found to work well? I don’t think I want a bagless. Emptying the canister every time is really gross. You can’t believe all the hype on commercials. Our current vacuum was "well-hyped" on commercials, but it is a piece of junk. It worked well the first 3 months then everything went down hill from there.
Kenmore at Sears constantly has been rated as the one of the best for many years. Eureka vacs are not as good, but are the best for the money. I have not had good luck with Hoover.
We’ve owned most vacuum’s known to man and have owned an Oreck for about three years.
I believe that it’s the best we’ve had.

I may not like the price BUT I have yet to find anything that beats the reliability & clean performance ELECTROLUX offers~
Even the Central Vacuum systems in my houses have not ever met the levels of cleaning compared to ELECTROLUX…Now I have both, just to keep everyone happy here at home~ I have tried so many different vacuums over the years & we ALWAYS go back to the ELECTROLUX…Actually we purchased one over 25 years ago, maybe longer[approx1982] then took it each move we made…When one house we built had a Central Vac system I thought I would be pleased & not need my Electrolux…WRONG!
When we moved back to Florida again I tried other vacs…but my Electrolux performed far better than any could even match! Our next home we built new again hubby wanted the Central Vac…I use my Electrolux which I traded my older model of 25+years for the newer model…Now about ten years later, I still grab my Electrolux way before I use my Central Vac~
Hi
I believe Kirby are the best but also the most expensive usually 3 to 10 times the price of a normal vacuum cleaner but people Ive met who’ve had one for 15 to 20 years!
Even though I live in the UK they are quite well known as they originate in the USA.
If you can splash out then buy one, we’ve had 4 different ones in 17 years and they’ve all been top price models .
I invested $45 in a Bissell bagless. Really sucks. You’ll be surprised at how much crud is on the floor of just one room when you empty the cannister. It isn’t all that gross and will extend the life of the motor. You can’t see how full bags are, running a vacuum with a full bag shortens the life of the motor.
