Try Nature’s Miracle, which you can find at the chain pet stores. It contains enzymes that eat the bacteria that cause the smell. I have (shhh, don’t tell anyone!) ten housecats, and there is no cat odor, even though one of my older cats occasionally mistakes a corner of the carpet for his litter box. My friends all started using this stuff when they realized that my house didn’t smell like cat but theirs did.
