I’m about to buy a vacuum cleaner so I can thoroughly clean up glass that was broken on my floor. Any suggestions on a good one?

For glass on carpet, you should probably use a shop-vac. If you use a regular vacuum, I like hoover (with a bag…not bagless). Do NOT use the vacuum itself to clean up the glass. Use the extension rod to suck it up. Using a beater-bar on the carpet with glass will just imbed the glass more.

dyson’s are the way to go. bag vacuums loose suction very very easily. you should get a canister one like the dyson DC24..it compact-able so it is tiny and it has a ball so it maneuverable. it also has a setting were you can tun the brush bar off and go on hard wood floors and you can turn it back on for carpets…i have the dyson and i love it..it does wonders.. you will never have to get a new one. great suction. will work perfectly in your situation. it is a little pricey but it’ll all pay off.. mainly you wont have to buy a new one for a very very long time and will save all your carpets. here is a link. ps the brush bar will NOT beat the glass down farther with the dyson.. the suction is powerful enough pull it straight out of the carpet
