What is the best way to get rid of fleas if they’re in the house…

I don’t have any pets, but the guy before me did. The entire house is infested, and I want them gone. I have bombed the house twice, I vacuum every day, and empty the canister outside. I want them gone sooner rather than later.

I am also assuming they are outside on the grass, lanai, etc. How do I get rid of them out there. I have a 5-year old so I’d like to go with something that isn’t harmful to humans. Does anyone know how to get rid of them? I’m tired of finding them on the kitchen floor and counters (it seems to be the worst in the kitchen.)

  1. Wash all your linens, vaccum your floors and sofas carefully, even get your carpets cleaned

    then…

sprinkle BORAX and work it in to the carpet, it’s nontoxic and you won’t notice it, and it really works to dessicate the flea eggs and fleas

  2. If they are this bad that bombs aren’t effective, you really need to remove the carpets or have a professional come in and exterminate.
there are also products that you can buy to treat your lawn , however that is an ongoing process that has to be repeated throughout the warm seasons. as animals come and go from yard to yard and will re-infest your yard. Neighborhood cats etc.

  3. Hang a light over a bowl of water with soap in it. The fleas will be attracted to the heat, jump at the light & end up in the water. They will then drown. It’s cheap & safe around kids.
