This review is from: Dirt Devil BD10175 18-Volt Cordless Handheld Vacuum Cleaner with Energy Star Battery Charger and Detachable Brushroll (Kitchen)

Update 06/16/10=is performing consist and pick up is better than most handhelds.

I previously owned a Shark 15 volt with roller brush. It is getting old so I am shifting it to car clean up only. So when I shopped for a replacement, it was down to The Euro Pro Shark 16.9 volt with motorized brush or this one. I could not find the Dirt Devil in a store to look at, but did look at the Euro Pro in the store.

I purchased the Dirt Devil because it had higher volts, the crevice tool is attached, and it is supposedly easier to empty the cup.

However, this DD does not have the immediate power suction my old 15 volt Shark has. You have to be more methodical about it, and run the thing slower over the areas. It picks up good though.

The Euro Pro has more bristles.

I like the attached crevice tool, one less thing to keep up with.

I really can’t see the big deal that it is easier to empty the cup.
