  3. NOT A REAL ELECTROLUX, You have to buy a Lux vacuum to get the real thing. This is a Dept. store rename.

  4. Eureka and Electrolux are the same company. They have been for years. Most of the Eureka upright vacuum’s are Electrolux upright in the UK.

  5. they also make this in a light blue but its called a sanitaire and this is a bagged model they do make a bagless model its white

  6. Thx for replying. I think it is plasic (heavy duty). The powerhead has a ‘collar” around the opening where the wand is inserted, and I gather you have to press on this collar to remove the wand. My machine is a refurbished EL6988D – almost identical to the one you have.
