Long, Low, and Rarin’ to GO–The Hoover Cleaner Model 65

The genesis model of what was probably the best carpet cleaning machine ever made, The Hoover Convertible. Model 65 was made from August 1957 to November 1959, and sold 371000+ units. The colors are heather rose and pearl white with silver accent. I got this one from Michael last year, an anniversary present. Its in very nice shape, and runs beautifully!

  1. i love the colors they used for these. i think of vacuums as not a piece of furnature but a accent and hoovers colors in the day were so pretty. unlike these yellow, or multi colored plastic beasts of today. pretty vacuum u got there.

  2. oh i thought you knew him he does not like convertible vacuum cleaners he has videos of his own like you do

  3. My grandmother had this one in Pink too. LOVE the metal emblems on the front. Hated the painted on/sticker they started to put on in the 70’s.

Can you post a video with the cool attacments sliding in some time? That thing was cool.

  4. Beautiful! I have a model 66 in avocado green with the attachments that I use as a daily cleaner. Do you know the years that the 66 was made?
    Thx!

  5. @hoover1060 Thank you so much for the information…I looked all over the internet and was unable to find it. I love my 66 and would never give it up.
