What is the best Dyson vacuum?

I wanted to purchase my mom a Dyson vacuum for her birthday and i’m not sure which one to get her. We don’t have any pets but our upstairs is fully hard wood floors and the downstairs is all carpet. Which is the best? I was thinking the Dyson DC07.

Thanks.

  1. It depends on what your mom would need or what suits her best. Like how big or open your space is, how much weight she can handle, etc.

Generally uprights are best for carpets while canisters tend to be best for hard floors and stairs. With most uprights it’s difficult to go under beds. Canisters usually weigh less but can be annoying to move around.

We have a Dyson ball, the smaller version (I think DC24 model but not sure). We got it a few months ago at Target when they were giving a $50 gift card with purchase. It has great suction and turns very easily. It’s been a wonderful vacuum so far except that the hose is a lot shorter than we’d prefer. It’s pretty light weight compared to a lot of vacs. Since it’s a smaller model the container fills up kind of quickly but it’s pretty easy to empty, the bottom just opens up.

You should do an online search to find reviews on specific models. That probably will give you more information.
